Michael O’Shaughnessy

Mr. O’Shaughnessy has had the pleasure of being in education for 24 years. He taught Chemistry and Physics for the first 17 years to a diverse set of high school students ranging from general to college prep to honors and now he is a Curriculum Supervisor for the Montgomery County ESC. Throughout his career in education, he has been a strong believer in inquiry and problem-based learning curriculum. He has been involved with the Dayton Regional STEM Center since 2008 fulfilling such positions as Lead STEM Fellow and Industry Teacher Internship Administrative Fellow. He was also a key player in the creation and development of the Teachers Air Camp program. He is extremely knowledgeable in the use of educational technology and is also a Certified Google Suite for Education Trainer. Mr. O’Shaughnessy is a passionate educator who strongly advocates for a problem-based, inquiry-driven curriculum by sharing his knowledge and expertise with other educators.
